THE LEGEND OF A R C A N A

A R C A N A began as an adventurous and fun blending session by two exceptional winemakers working with some of Napa Valley’s finest fruit. They were looking for something they could share with friends at dinners and gatherings that would not be so "Napa typical" but still be mind-blowing. The two were so blown away by the result that they vowed to keep the exact varietal makeup a mystery.

After a few years of sharing with us and us loving the wines, we talked them into making it as a retail product for Arcana so others around the U.S. could enjoy it too. A star was born!

Our name A R C A N A, (secrets / mysteries), was born when one of the winemakers agreed to make the blend for us but swore us to secrecy not to reveal their recipes, and we vowed to keep it a secret!

THE WINE - A perfect blend of........

Some of the finest wines in the world are made from blends of several grape varietals. In the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon leads all other varietals with roughly 50% of acreage planted. But the valley's diverse soils and excellent climates make it a perfect place for growing many red grape varieties including: Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Syrah and Petite Sirah, as well as some white varietals commonly used in Burgundy and Bordeaux winemaking.

The mystery of A R C A N A was unearthed when two winemakers sharing an incredible evening of "simply having fun" blended different varietals to come up with something that they could share amongst friends. The A R C A N A Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc are so unique and delicious they will leave you thinking about when you will open the next bottles.

A R C A N A is not like any other wine. It is literally one of a kind, and the most we are able to tell you about it is - to simply enjoy them amongst friends like their creators did!
